Dear colleagues,
Thank you. I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support of the NACAS Education Foundation. In 2000, 100 charter members donated their time and money to establish the Foundation. Now, 15 years later, the Foundation works to fund NACAS initiatives and to ensure the ongoing success of the auxiliary industry. The Foundation has become an entity that awards scholarships, funds professional development, and provides career growth and networking opportunities!

Scholarships

The Foundation manages the Mereese Ladson Diversity Scholarship and Hassmiller CASP Scholarship funds. These scholarships provide the opportunity for NACAS members to attend events and sit for the CASP exam. These opportunities help to ease the burden of aspiring auxiliary services professionals as they seek to expand their careers. Every year NACAS members, regions, and business partners donate funds to help support these scholarships.

Professional Development

NACAS provides its members with the professional development opportunities necessary for success in an ever-changing industry. Through the Foundation’s support all NACAS online education is provided to members at no cost. New webinars and virtual roundtables are hosted monthly, and then recorded and available for all members to view at their leisure. In the last year NACAS has hosted 33 online education opportunities.

Support

To help support these important initiatives, the Foundation engages in numerous fundraising activities throughout the year. This year the Foundation will present the 15th Annual Silent Auction and Raffle at the NACAS Annual Conference in San Antonio, TX. For the second year in a row this event will feature online bidding. All items will be available for bidding by Oct. 13, and will be featured live during the Business Solution Center open hours. This is always an exciting event, with items ranging from electronics, to university memorabilia, and vacation getaways, to regional gift packages! Every year over 60 NACAS members and business partners donate their time and money to help make this event a success. Show your support by bidding early and often!

Fore!

Just prior to the annual conference, the Foundation will once again host the Robert L. “Bob” DeMoss Golf Tournament. Always a popular time for friendly competition, this year the tournament will be held at the award-winning La Cantera Golf Course. Nestled between Six Flags Fiesta Texas and premier shopping at The Shops at La Cantera, this hilltop retreat combines the best in golf with the best of luxury. Over 70 golfers will tee off at 8 a.m. on October 31 to have fun, network, and support the NACAS Education Foundation.
